TANGAJ PRODUCTION is a female production trio (est. 2017), led by Anamaria Antoci, Anda Ionescu and Ana Voicu. We take pride in being the home of filmmakers and artists with a new voice in Romanian cinema and of established directors who want to tweak their style or experiment with new approaches.


In Romania, the company works with established directors such as Andrei Ujică (VIDEOGRAMS OF A REVOLUTION, 1992, OUT OF THE PRESENT, 1996, THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF NICOLAE CEAUȘESCU, 2010), Paul Negoescu (A MONTH IN THAILAND, 2012, TWO LOTTERY TICKETS, 2016, MEN OF DEEDS, 2022), Adrian Sitaru (HOOKED, 2008, BEST INTENTIONS, 2011, ILLEGITIMATE, 2016), Ilinca Călugăreanu (CHUCK NORRIS VS. COMMUNISM, 2015, A COPS AND ROBBERS STORY, 2020) and directors at their first or second feature film, such as Maria Popistașu, Alexandru Baciu, and David Schwartz.


Among the international co-productions in the company’s portfolio are SAF by Turkish director Ali Vatansever (2018, TR/DE/RO), the sophomore film by Mladen Djordjevic, WORKING CLASS GOES TO HELL (2023, RS/BG/GR/ME/HR/RO), the latest film by Danis Tanović, MY LATE SUMMER (2024, HR/BH/RO/RS/SI), and the debut features PANOPTICON by George Sikharulidze (2024, GE/FR/IT/RO) and ATHLETE by Semih Gülen & Mustafa Emin Büyükcoşkun (2024, TR/DE/RO).
